1996 Margaux
Producer: Chateau Margaux
Origin: Bordeaux, France
CONCLUSION
From the nose to the palate right through to the finish, this is a complete wine. A wine with this type of balance is rarely found-- on the one hand, the flavours and texture is incredibly refined, possessing elegance and finesse. At the same time, this ex-chateau 1996 Margaux enjoyed in Beijing has phenomenal power and intensity. It is still very young but there is no doubt the wine will evolve as beautifully as the 1953 and 1961 and taste youthful after 40-50 years in bottle. A sensational wine.
