Asian Palate Book Tour - Shanghai
- 30 January 2010
- Location: Park Hyatt Shanghai
Park Hyatt Shanghai brings its guests a remarkable evening of food and wine with Chinese Chef de Cuisine Frank Hu and Asia’s first Master of Wine, Jeannie Cho Lee, in celebration of the official tour of her newly launched book Asian Palate.
The menu for this special event is created based on a perfect combination of old Shanghainese flavours with a contemporary touch, without changing the core of their being. As an introduction, a selection of Shanghainese appetisers and cold dishes will be displayed in a family-style setting. Clean and sharp flavours will be followed by subtle and stronger tastes, finishing with the well-known sweetness of Shanghainese cuisine, with Candied Lotus Roots, which are given a little twist of lavender rather than the classic osmanthus.
“Over the past decade, a new generation of Chinese diners has helped the growth of the culinary industry in China. They are eager to try and learn new things, value quality of life more than ever, and appreciate wining and dining with discerning tastes. We believe that this collaboration with Ms. Lee’s tour of Asia will definitely bring a new experience to the market,” commented Chef Hu.
